HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hard to believe it's already thanksgiving again! Wednesday, our family had the privilege to be at our sending church. Our pastor had a great thanksgiving message! He preached mainly out of the book of Psalms, chapter 96.

Psa 96:1 "O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth."

we see that the result of worship is true joy and thankfulness which produces praise!

Psa 96:2 "Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day."

when we are truly worshiping our wonderful Saviour it creates a greater desire and burden for the lost souls around us each day! "shew forth his salvation from day to day."

Psa 96:3 "Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people." worshiping God gives us boldness to share His wonderful Word to those around us each day! how are we doing with spreading His Word? if not well then ask your self "how am I doing with worshiping my God?"

We can also see the psalmist realization of who God is!

Psa 96:4 For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.

Psa 96:5 For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.

what a mighty God we serve! while others serve man made gods we serve the True God! "but the LORD made the heavens." He created you and I to receive honor and glory to His Name! to have fellowship with man! He desires to commune with you as friend with friend.

this fellowship with mankind however was broken when Adam chose to sin before a thrice Holy GOD.

Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Rom 5:13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

Rom 5:14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

Rom 5:15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

Rom 5:16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

Rom 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

Rom 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

Rom 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Praise the Lord for His mercy and love toward us! Through Him we can have eternal life and have fellowship with Him! The psalmist not only noticed who He is but also what He was worthy of.

Psa 96:8 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.

Psa 96:9 O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.

Psa 96:10 Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.

Let us remember what all the Lord has done for us! Let us "worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness." let us praise Him! Let us "Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name." Let us "bring an offering, and come into his courts." Let us "Sing unto the LORD." Let us "bless his name." Let us "shew forth his salvation from day to day." Let us "Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people."

Psa 100:1 A Psalm of praise. Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.

Psa 100:2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

Psa 100:3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we arehis people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Psa 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

Psa 100:5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

I'm thankful for my Saviour, my Redeemer and Friend!

Do you know Him? have you been redeemed? If so, how is your worship?

Hope ya'll have a great day!

Happy Thanksgiving and may God bless!
