“The Saving Love”

Oh! Compassionate Love of God!
That moved Him from heaven
To bring light to sin’s facade
He was born in flesh of a virgin
Oh! Amazing love of the Lamb!
His holy demand for justice
Was paid by the blood of the I Am
In whom dwells all my fullness
Sin’s death wages we’d have to pay
But Jesus’ perfect blood He shed
He rose from death the third day
Giving us eternal life instead
Oh! Powerful love of God!
An unconditional gift to men
By faith it’ll break the hardest sod
When we repent & accept Christ within
Oh! Wonderful love of Christ!
That He would dare consider men
Now over sin’s binding enticement
True victory we have through Him
Oh! To know the love of Christ!
Is to know contentment
And peace which forever will suffice
Those who humble with faith and repent
